Write a book review of Hope’s Boy, A Memoir, by Andrew Bridge, that covers the following questions: 1. Why did the narrator write this memoir? What were his goals? 2. What types of abuse did Andrew experience and who committed the abuses? (Choose one or two abusers/abuse experiences to write about.) Use a macro-theory and a micro-theory of violence identifying and explaining the causes of the abuse Andrew experienced. 3. If you were a social worker assigned to Andrew, what kinds of policies and practices (including treatment ideas) would you use to prevent or stop the abuse he experienced? 4. What helped Andrew be resilient to the abuse? Include your definition of what resilience means. Again content, as well as organization, spelling, grammar and punctuation will be considered in grading.
