BFT1014: Principles of Logistics Assessment

Assessment Overview

The coursework assessment for BFT1014 comprises a group report and an individual reflective commentary, together accounting for 50% of the module marks.  Note that students will work in teams of 4 to 6 for the group element of the project.  

Your group will also be required to present your work in class – this element will be formatively assessed.

 

Group Report

Your group will receive an ‘Invitation to Tender’ from Bamstrad Ltd (see separate document) – your group report should take the form of a ‘Tender Response Document’ and should be of 3,000 words in length.  See the notes overleaf for guidance on this element of the task.

The group report (Tender Response Document) should be submitted electronically via Turnitin by 15:00 on 18th March, 2019.

 

Group Presentation

Your group are required to present your tender response during week commencing 4th March, 2019 in class. The presentation should include an overview of your tender response, highlighting your key company attributes and outlining your proposed cost. The presentation should last 10 minutes, with 5 minutes allowed for questions afterwards.

 

Individual Reflective Commentary

You are required to prepare a 1,000 word individual reflective commentary on the group task.  This should comment on your personal contribution to the task, how the project was managed, team dynamics and the key learning points from the task.  You should also reflect on how your group could have improved performance both during the task and with regards to the completed group report.
